Where is the redness?
Redness is solid, due to blood rather than the engorged vessels seen in actual conjunctival injection. Redness may be localised or diffuse.

Is the cornea clear?
Yes
Conjunctival appearance?
Flat and blood red. If the subconjunctival haemorrhage is marked, it may cause the conjunctiva to ‘balloon’ forward.
